Weber State women’s basketball blitzed in 50-point loss at Boise State
As good as Weber State women’s basketball played Friday at Nevada, the Wildcats struggled to match up Sunday against Boise State in a 96-46 defeat to the unbeaten Broncos.
WSU (2-4) managed just seven field goals and 20 points in the first half.
Forward Elodie Lalotte scored 19 points on a perfect 8-for-8 shooting off the bench and starting forward Natalie Pasco scored 18 for Boise State (6-0). Tatum Thompson added 15 points. BSU assisted 22 of 33 field goals and nearly made as many 3-pointers (15) as WSU made total field goals (16).
Taylor Smith and Kendra Parra got going in the fourth quarter, combining to shoot 5 of 7 for 13 points in the final frame. Smith totaled 13 points and nine rebounds, and Parra scored 11 points. WSU shot 16 of 53.
Weber State has just one game in the next three weeks, traveling to North Dakota for its Big Sky-Summit Challenge game on Dec. 4. After that, WSU plays road games at Seattle (Dec. 14) and Arizona (Dec. 16).
