Weber State quarterback Mike Hoke (11) fumbles the ball after being hit against McNeese State on Sept. 25, 2012, at Stewart Stadium in Ogden.Weber State announced the signing of three future football series Wednesday in a set of home-and-home contracts that also complete WSU’s 2024 schedule.
The Wildcats will play future games against Lamar, McNeese and Northwestern State, all members of the Southland Conference.
WSU has never played Lamar or Northwestern State, and is 1-3 all-time in games against McNeese. Weber State defeated McNeese on the road in 1990 and took losses to the Cowboys in 1992, 2012 and 2013.
Weber State will play at Lamar in 2024 and host the Cardinals in 2028. McNeese will be in Ogden in 2024 and WSU returns the trip in 2025. And the Wildcats will travel to play Northwestern State in 2024 and play host in 2026.
The 2024 schedule is a 12-game slate. To accommodate the nonconference games, WSU’s Big Sky opener next season has been moved up to Week 2.
