Ogden Raptors to host Nike youth baseball camp in June
The Ogden Raptors will host a youth baseball camp through Nike Sports Camps this summer, the team announced.
The co-ed “general skills” day camp for ages 7-13 runs June 26 through June 29 and includes three days of instruction with Raptors manager Evan Parker and other coaches and players at Lindquist Field.
“Instruction will focus on hitting, fielding, base running, and game situations for kids of all abilities,” a Raptors news release reads.
Nike’s page for the camp says there will be a 1 to 10 staff-to-camper ratio and, after players are grouped by age, additional grouping will take place based on skill.
Interested youth players can sign up at ussportscamps.com for a fee of $325. The camp’s page says lunch is provided on all three days. The fee also includes a ticket to the Raptors game against the Boise Hawks on June 29, plus a few items of Nike gear and other potential prizes.
Additional information about the camp and what is required can be found on the camp’s website.
The Ogden Raptors begin their Pioneer League championship defense by opening the 2024 season at home, starting a 12-game homestand with a six-game series against the Northern Colorado Owlz on Tuesday, May 21.
Home games will begin at 6:30 p.m. with Sunday games at 2 p.m.
