BOYS SOCCER

WEBER 4, WEST FIELD 0

PLEASANT VIEW — Cayson Berry and Masan Keyes scored late in the first half, sending Weber to a shutout of West Field (2-3).

Jace Rydalch (70th minute) and Mayan Gongora (75th) scored in the second half for Weber (4-0). Boston Smith and Asher Jones shared the shutout in goal.

FREMONT 3, LEHI 0

LEHI — Jace Clark got the clean sheet and Fremont picked up a shutout road win.

Luke DeVries scored in the first half on a corner kick from Justin Daniels to get Fremont (6-0) going. Daniels and Dylan Bruce scored in the second half, both assisted by Keaton Lane.

SYRACUSE 2, MTN RIDGE 0

SYRACUSE — Syracuse picked up its first win of the season by blanking Mountain Ridge.

Giovanni Fuentes and Wyatt Affleck each scored for Syracuse (1-3). McKay Manning tallied an assist and Dallin Treasure had the shutout.

DAVIS 3, DESERT HILLS 0

KAYSVILLE — Kyle Livermore scored once and assisted twice as Davis blanked its St. George visitors.

Braxton Passey and Hugh Wood each netted once for Davis (3-1). Nick Forsyth had the clean sheet.

SOFTBALL

WEST FIELD 11, BONNEVILLE 4

WASHINGTON TERRACE — Ayzlee Sessions hit 4 for 5 with two doubles and two RBIs from West Field’s leadoff spot in a road win at Bonneville.

Ella Doxey hit 3 for 5 with two doubles, three RBIs and three runs scored for West Field (2-0). Brinklee Hadley hit 3 for 4 and threw a complete game, striking out eight and allowing four earned runs on five hits.

Marley Chournos hit 2 for 4 with two RBIs for Bonneville (2-5). Madilyn DeGroot drove in a pair of runs.

BOX ELDER 13, LOGAN 6

BRIGHAM CITY — Kennadie Blackmer hit 3 for 4 with a homer, a double, three RBIs, and got the win in the circle allowing three runs in five innings, striking out five, as Box Elder topped Logan (3-4) at home.

Lucy Griffin doubled twice and drove in three runs for Box Elder (7-0). Maclee Willard tripled and Izibel Mason had two RBIs.

MORGAN 5, CYPRUS 1

MAGNA — Eva Birkeland pitched six scoreless innings, allowing one hit and striking out 11 to lead Morgan to a road win in its season-opener.

Kiernee Carter hit 2 for 4 with a double and Joesi Kelly drove in two runs for Morgan.

MTN CREST 11, WEBER 3

HYRUM — Raegan Blaisdell hit a two-run homer for Weber (0-4) in a road loss at Mountain Crest. Morgan Dixon batted 2 for 3.

RIVERTON 7, BEAR RIVER 5

GARLAND — Riverton (7-0) scored five runs in the final two innings to win a battle of undefeated teams.

Bella Douglas hit 2 for 3 with a home run and Luci Roche also homered with three RBIs for Bear River (7-1). Londyn Gamble hit 2 for 4 with a double. Kate Wilson struck out 11 but surrendered four homers and five earned runs in the loss.

FARMINGTON 11, GREEN CANYON 7

FARMINGTON — M12 Fields hit 2 for 3, doubled, drove in three runs and allowed two runs over 5 2/3 innings in the circle to help Farmington to a win. S16 Strong hit 3 for 4 with three RBIs.

BASEBALL

CLEARFIELD 6, WEBER 5

CLEARFIELD — Clearfield scored three in the fifth and three in the seventh to walk off Weber.

Hudson Meyer and Logan Fenn each hit 2 for 4 with two RBIs for Clearfield (1-1). Matt Rudman doubled. Brody Unck struck out two in a 1-2-3 top of the seventh to set the Falcons bats up for victory.

Bridger Lopshire doubled and drove in two for Weber (0-2). Jarett Hill and Riley Morris each hit a double. Ridge Torman threw four scoreless innings in his start, allowing three hits, striking out two and walking one.

CORNER CANYON 8, ROY 3

DRAPER — Parker Skidmore drove in two runs for Roy in a road loss.

Cache Summers hit 2 for 3 for Roy (1-2). Jack Sorensen struck out five in three innings pitched but walked four and allowed four earned runs.

ROY 14, BONNEVILLE 1

ROY — Tyler Dickson racked up six goals and four assists as Roy took care of Bonneville.

Kayson Brimhall, Kenai Sudyka and Carden Schieb each scored twice for Roy (1-2). Hank Mullen saved seven of eight shots in goal.

Bonneville (0-3) did not report stats.
