LAYTON — Fremont led 28-22 at the half but Layton outscored the Silverwolves 36-17 in the second half for a region win.

Karter Miller and Chase Randall tied for game-high honors with 14 points apiece for Layton (14-4, 5-0 Region 1). Jonah Fullmer posted 11 points and Sam Romer scored 10.

Cam Campbell led Fremont (4-14, 0-5) with 13 points and eight rebounds. Dylan Bruce scored nine points and Zach Masters added eight.

ROY 57, VIEWMONT 54

ROY — Colby Frokjer tallied a game-high 23 points and 11 rebounds while making three 3-pointers to lead Roy to a region win over Viewmont (10-8, 6-2 Region 5).

Tyrece Holbrook added 10 points for Roy (4-13, 2-6) and Devin Nelson scored six.

LAYTON — Cael Lake scored a game-high 18 points to lead Northridge past Clearfield.

FARMINGTON — Farmington’s 20-10 advantage in the second quarter was the difference in the Phoenix (6-11, 2-3 Region 1) handing Syracuse a region loss.
