Layton and Box Elder each posted seven individual champions at their respective 6A and 5A divisional tournaments. West Field senior Jason Worthy (150 pounds) and Bear River senior Gunner Christensen (157 pounds) each brought home gold medals in 4A’s Division B bracket.

In 3A, Ben Lomond sophomore Evan Centeno (106 pounds) won his school’s lone championship in Division A; Morgan fielded two Division B champs in senior Drew Korth (144 pounds) and junior Chase Allen (175 pounds).

The boys state championships will be held on Feb. 11 and 12 (4A and 5A), as well as Feb. 12 and 13 (3A and 6A), at the UCCU Center at Utah Valley University.
