LAYTON — Layton took an 8-5 lead after one inning but Syracuse scored seven runs in the seventh inning to take the lead for good in a region road win.
Grace Thomas batted 4 for 5 with two home runs and six RBIs for Syracuse (9-5, 1-1 Region 1). Oaklee Derrickson went 2 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs. Jazmine Prathan had three hits with a double and five RBIs. Olivia Harker added three hits. Avarie Floto earned the win with two hits and one strikeouts in two innings.
Lexie Himle batted 2 for 2 with a double, two walks, two RBIs and two runs scored for Layton (0-6, 0-2). Macie Clark went 2 for 2 with three walks and three RBIs. Audrina Beeson went 2 for 4 and drove in two.

WOODS CROSS — Bonneville trailed 4-2 after three innings, then scored eight straight runs to take the lead for good in a win at Woods Cross (2-7, 2-6 Region 5).
Marley Chournos batted 3 for 5 with two triples and scored three runs for Bonneville (4-10, 2-4). Madilyn DeGroot went 2 for 4 with a triple and drove in three. Dani Elmer batted 2 for 4 with a double while Ellee Summers and Andie Elmer each hit an RBI double. Peyton Johnson pitched a complete game with five earned runs, five hits and 12 strikeouts.

ROY — Box Elder scored 11 runs in the second inning, then added 12 more in the fourth to trigger the run rule in a big win at Roy.
Kennadie Blackmer batted 4 for 5 with a home run and three RBIs for Box Elder (14-2, 6-1 Region 5). Kailee Hall and Katelyn Oki each had three hits. Hall hit a double and drove in three while Oki drove in four. Quincey Lish hit two doubles and drove in three. Lucy Brager pitched four innings for the win with one earned run, two hits and seven strikeouts.
Quincy Johnson hit a single and scored a run for Roy (0-9, 0-7). Brynlee Pearl added a single and Lorelai Sherrod drew a walk. Johnson and Sherrod each stole a base.

FARMINGTON — Farmington plated nine runners in the second inning to take an 11-4 lead in a region win over Weber.
Morgan Rogers and Meghan Fields each batted 3 for 3 for Farmington (7-4, 1-1 Region 1). Rogers hit two doubles and Fields drove in four. Kiley Gazafy and Brooklyn Wright each went 3 for 5 with a double.
Raegan Blaisdell batted 3 for 4 with a home run and four RBIs for Weber (3-7, 1-1). Ari Hillan went 3 for 3 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Gabby Montgomery batted 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI.

LOGAN — Kate Wilson pitched a two-hitter with 12 strikeouts and four walks to lead Bear River to a region win at Logan (9-6, 3-2 Region 11).

GARLAND — Box Elder scored twice in the third inning to take a 3-0 lead, then Bear River scored eight runs in the fifth inning to take control in a home win on Wednesday.

KEARNS — Clearfield scored 11 runs across the fifth, sixth and seventh innings to break a 1-1 tie in a win at Kearns.
Brody Unck hit an RBI double and pitched a complete game with four hits and 10 strikeouts for Clearfield (5-8). Taven Swartz and Colt Chambers each batted 3 for 5. Swartz drove in four and Chambers added one RBI. George Garcia went 2 for 3 and Chase Marriott hit an RBI double.
UNION 5, MORGAN 2
ROOSEVELT — Morgan took a 2-0 lead after the fourth inning, but gave up five runs in the fifth in a loss at Union (14-4, 4-0 Region 13).
Luke Bauerle and Lincoln Gilson each batted 2 for 4 with a double for Morgan (12-5, 4-2). George Jensen hit an RBI single and scored a run. Beck Sheffield added an RBI and took the hard-luck loss with three hits and four strikeouts over 4 1/3 innings.

OGDEN — Kai Langston got the only hit, drew a walk and reached on a hit-by-pitch as Ben Lomond (11-1, 0-6 Region 13) fell at home to Grantsville (6-7, 4-0).

CLEARFIELD — Hudson Meyer hit an RBI single — his only hit on the day — in the bottom of the eighth inning to send Clearfield to a walk-off win over Woods Cross (5-7, 1-1 Region 5) on Wednesday.
Colt Chambers batted 3 for 3 with a home run, a double and three RBIs for Clearfield (5-7, 1-1 Region 5). Logan Fenn added two hits. George Garcia and Brody Mower each had a hit. Taven Swartz hit a single and threw a 107-pitch complete game allowing four hits, two earned runs and seven strikeouts for the win.

KAYSVILLE — Davis scored four runs in the third inning to take a 6-2 lead in a Wednesday win over Syracuse.
Jaxon Marble hit a solo homer for Davis (8-4, 2-0 Region 1). Stryder Prowse hit a three-run double. Brody McGuire batted 2 for 3 with a double and Kaleb Weaver added a double. Croydon Christensen got the win with seven hits, four earned runs and three strikeouts in three innings.

Cambria Sandoval added four goals for Northridge (3-4). Elise Southworth netted a hat trick while Rylee Hutchinson and Alyssa Jaffa each scored twice.

LOGAN — Roy goalie Kiya Jensen tallied her 300th high school save during the game but it wasn’t enough as the Royals fell at Logan (5-5).
Kyrie Hull, Anna Fisher and Elizabeth Van Wagnor each scored twice for Roy (2-5).
