SYRACUSE — Taylor Sims and Madi Shillig combined for the clean sheet and Abby Affleck scored on an assist from Lydia Rhoades as Syracuse High girls soccer (10-1, 4-0 Region 1) shut out Weber (5-5, 1-3) in a 1-0 victory Thursday.

“Even when we might not be playing our best game, we are able to finish the game how we need to, and that’s what a good team does,” Syracuse junior Indy Heap said.

OGDEN — Kate Pulley netted four times — giving her nine goals in her last two games — as Ogden bested Ben Lomond.

Hannah Lewis added one goal and two assists for Ogden (5-6, 3-0 Region 13) and Megan Beus assisted one score.

SMITHFIELD — West Field won a marathon region match at Sky View (5-8, 1-2 Region 11) by scores of 16-25, 25-21, 19-25, 25-16, 15-10.

West Field tallied 10 kills for (7-13, 2-2). Kallie Tonioli dished out 15 assists, Olivia Kapp had 23 digs and Bella Alverson added three blocks.

OGDEN — Juliana Netherton tallied five kills, four aces and five assists as St. Joseph swept American Leadership Academy (0-14, 0-2 Region 17). Scores were 25-9, 25-5, 25-9.

Lizzie Randall added eight assists, seven aces and three kills for St. Joseph (8-5, 3-0). Mimi DeWitte had five kills and three aces.
