KAYSVILLE — Syracuse High girls volleyball clinched the Region 1 title outright with two matches left after a sweep Tuesday at Davis. Set scores were 25-19, 25-17, 25-13.

Avery Ericksen tallied 11 kills for Syracuse (19-7, 8-0 Region 1) and also led the Titans in digs.

Davis (6-18, 0-8) did not report stats.

WEST FIELD 3, BEAR RIVER 0

GRANTSVILLE — West Field won in straight sets at Bear River to conclude the regular season. Scores were 25-11, 25-18, 25-13.

Kallie Tonioli paced West Field (14-14, 9-3 Region 11) with four aces and 14 assists. Ainsley Schiffman tallied seven kills and Olivia Kapp added six digs. The Longhorns end their inaugural season with a second-place finish in Region 11.

Bear River (2-25, 0-12) did not report stats.

The UHSAA will release state tournament seedings and matchups (for Class 4A and smaller) at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The 4A first round is Saturday, Oct. 26, at home sites. Winners and teams with byes finish the tournament Nov. 1-2 at Utah Valley University.

ST. JOSEPH 3, ROWLAND HALL 0

OGDEN — St. Joseph clinched a share of the Region 17 championship with a sweep of Rowland Hall (19-9, 8-4 Region 17). Set scores were 25-13, 25-16, 25-8.

Juliana Netherton led St. Joseph (21-6, 11-1) with 14 assists, five kills, four blocks and two aces. Lizzie Randall tallied nine kills, 15 assists, 10 digs and four aces. Mimi DeWitte posted 11 kills and three blocks. Ally Macaulay added 11 kills and Kenzie Hernandez had 10 digs, five assists and three aces.
