MORGAN — Class 3A Morgan High boys basketball blew out 4A Stansbury 73-35 to hand Trojans coach Scott Hunt his 500th career victory.

Kolton Asay scored a game-high 19 points with five 3-pointers for Morgan (9-1). Bracken Saunders added 17 points and Jake Hansen tallied 10. Mason Williams had four blocks.

Hunt, in his 41st year of coaching, is in his second season at Morgan. He has previously coached boys basketball at Panguitch, South Sevier, Bear River and Roy.

WEBER 67, CLEARFIELD 47

CLEARFIELD — Weber put away Clearfield with a 16-6 fourth-quarter advantage for a road win.

Luke Bingham led four double-digit scorers with 19 points for Weber (7-3). Ryder Howe scored 16 points. Ben Olpin and Thomas Packer each netted 11 points, with Olpin making three 3-pointers.

Michael Creel led Clearfield (2-6) with 11 points. Bode Davis and Jaxson Bishop each added seven points.

ROY 65, STAR VALLEY-WY 55

PRESTON, Idaho — Devin Nelson led all scorers with 19 points to lead Roy past Star Valley (Wyoming) at the Preston Indian Classic.

Colby Frokjer tallied 18 points and eight rebounds for Roy (1-7). Tripp Randall added eight points and eight boards.

SYRACUSE 79, GRANGER 45

SYRACUSE — Fifteen Syracuse players scored in a home rout of Granger.

Beckam Rees led the Syracuse (4-5) effort with 18 points, shooting 5 of 8 from distance. Carter Robinson and Colton Hoenigman each scored 10 points with Hoenigman grabbing three steals. Skyler Orton totaled seven points, five assists and three steals.

NORTHRIDGE 86, SUMMIT ACADEMY 62

LAYTON — Jay Oliver led all scorers with 19 points and five 3-pointers to lead Northridge past Summit Academy at home.

Daniel Sunkuli tallied 18 points for Northridge (2-7). Cale Lake scored 16 points.

KENTWOOD-WA 56, DAVIS 54

UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. — Davis led 27-19 at the half but Kentwood (Washington) took the second half 37-17 at the Curtis High Winter Classic.

Tradon Bessinger led Davis (7-2) with 18 points on six 3-pointers. Coleman Atwater added a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Bode Sparrow scored 10 points and Bryker Couser had seven assists.

OLYMPUS 55, FREMONT 48

PLAIN CITY — Easton Duft led Fremont with 15 points on two 3-pointers, adding three assists, in a home loss to Olympus.

Cam Campbell added 10 points and five rebounds for Fremont (3-7). Zach Hancock tallied nine points and eight boards.

WASATCH 62, BONNEVILLE 46

WASHINGTON TERRACE — Ben Tesch tallied 17 points and eight rebounds but Bonneville fell to Wasatch at home.

Jackson Call and Bryson Landis each scored eight points for Bonneville (3-5).

SKY VIEW 56, BEAR RIVER 52

SMITHFIELD — Bear River was on the wrong side of an 18-10 third quarter in a region loss at Sky View (5-6, 1-0 Region 11).

Kaser Thurgood scored a game-high 19 points for Bear River (4-7, 0-2). Kash Avery tallied nine points and Bridger Adams added eight.

DAVIS 62, O’DEA-WA 51

UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. — Davis controlled O’Dea (Washington) 34-19 in the second half to claim a win Thursday at the Curtis High Winter Classic.

Coleman Atwater led Davis (7-1) with 20 points and six rebounds. JT Turley scored 14 points and Bode Sparrow added seven points and four assists.

Though the Darts narrowly won the turnover margin 19-17, they outpaced the Fighting Irish 28-13 in points off turnovers.

BEN LOMOND 89, UTAH MILITARY 27

RIVERDALE — Ben Lomond led 77-16 after three quarters in a blowout win Thursday at Utah Military Academy-Hill Field.

Korver Van Beekum led Ben Lomond (4-6) with 19 points and four steals. Michael Stevens scored 16 points, Cameron Williams added 12 points and five assists, and Makale Aytch totaled 10 points, eight assists and five steals.

UMA (4-6) did not report stats.

SYRACUSE — Maylee Anderson hit five 3-pointers and scored 17 points to lead Syracuse past Hunter.

Aubri Stoker added four treys and 16 points for Syracuse (8-1). The Titans made 11 3-pointers and nine two-point field goals.

BOX ELDER 49, BEAR RIVER 45

GARLAND — Box Elder scored six straight points in the last minute to turn a 43-40 deficit into a 46-43 lead and held on for its first win of the season.

Jocelyn Vranes scored a game-high 18 points with four 3-pointers for Box Elder (1-8). Brooklyn Burt tallied 10 points. Kailee Hall and Emma Nelson each added seven points.

Saydee Pebley and Aubree Fry each scored 14 points to pace Bear River (1-9). Brooklyn Capner and Brooklynn Pond scored seven points apiece.

NORTHRIDGE 38, FARMINGTON 36

FARMINGTON — Farmington led 16-5 after one quarter, then Northridge outscored the Phoenix 33-20 the rest of the way for a road win.

Izzy Kapp led Northridge (4-4) with nine points. Rachel Mower hit two 3-pointers and scored eight points. Megan Sargent added seven points.

Ellie Scow scored a game-high 13 points with three 3-pointers for Farmington (6-4). Morgan Rogers tallied 11 points and Emelie Figlioli added four points.

GUNNISON VALLEY 58, BEN LOMOND 38

OGDEN — Ben Lomond trailed 38-12 at the half in a home loss to Gunnison Valley.

Aleia Huff led Ben Lomond (2-9) with 13 points. Payten Huff added 12 points with two 3-pointers. Diana Campos scored seven.
