Prep basketball roundup: Syracuse girls erase 19-point halftime deficit for home win
SYRACUSE — Syracuse High girls baskeball rallied from down 19 at half, outscoring Riverton 40-15 in the second half for a big, 55-49 comeback win Thursday night.
Maylee Anderson scored 22 of her game-high 28 points in the second half for Syracuse (7-1). Olivia Sorenson added nine points and Aubri Stoker pitched in seven.
ST. JOSEPH 52, WATERFORD 19
SANDY — Eliza Berg scored 14 points and St. Joseph crushed Waterford on the road.
Katelyn Martinez had 11 points for St. Joseph (4-4, 3-1 Region 17). Mimi Dewitte scored nine points, and Lizzie Randall and Abby Gough each added eight.
SKY VIEW 57, BEAR RIVER 35
GARLAND — Claire Fischer’s 22 points led Sky View (7-4, 1-0 Region 11) to a region road win at Bear River.
Shelby Wilkinson led Bear River (1-9, 0-1) with eight points. Madison Littlefield scored seven points and Aubree Fry added six.

TAYLORSVILLE — Sam Romer scored 18 first-half points and Layton sprinted past Taylorsville on the road.
Romer finished with a game-high 24 points for Layton (7-1). Karter Miller totaled 17 points, Josh Checketts scored 14 points and Tage Allen added 10. The Lancers made 10 3-pointers.

CLEARFIELD — Syracuse outpaced Clearfield in a non-region matchup Wednesday night.
Skyler Orton scored 29 points to lead Syracuse (3-5). Carter Robinson added 11 points.
