Prep basketball roundup: Harrison shines for West Field boys; Northridge girls defeat Bear River
TAYLOR — Jordan Harrison poured in 26 points and West Field High boys basketball handled Mountain View (Idaho) 39-18 in the second half on the way to a 76-44 home win Friday.
Jaden Fowers scored 15 points for West Field (3-2). Jaxton Slaugh added 11 points and Daxton Laughter had eight.

PLEASANT VIEW — Weber’s 20-10 first-quarter advantage was enough for the Warriors to claim a home win.
Brandon Crockett scored 18 points to lead Weber (2-3). Luke Bingham scored 12 points, Ryder Howe added nine points and Ben Olpin added eight.
Drez Jensen scored a game-high 25 points for Viewmont.

DAVIS — Davis had five double-digit scorers and held Hunter to single digits in every quarter to claim a home win.
Coleman Atwater totaled 17 points to lead Davis (3-1). Croydon Christensen totaled 10 points, nine rebounds, four assists and five steals. Tradon Bessinger added 11 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Bode Sparrow totaled 11 points, four rebounds, six assists and four steals. JT Turley scored 14 points.

GARLAND — Uintah outscored Ben Lomond 14-1 midway through the first quarter and 50-26 in the second half at Bear River’s Winter Classic.
Jaerdan Van Beekum led Ben Lomond (1-4) with 20 points on five 3-pointers. Issac Stephens added 13 points and Korver Van Beekum tallied eight points.

GARLAND — Ben Lomond poured in 30 third-quarter points to pull away from North Sanpete at the Bear River Winter Classic on Thursday.
Zeb Whetton led four double-digit scorers with 16 points, adding a team-high nine rebounds, for Ben Lomond (1-3). Makale Aytch scored 14 points and made three of his team’s 10 3-pointers, adding six steals.
Jaerdan Van Beekum added 14 points and six rebounds while Deshawn Holland totaled 11 points and four steals. Korver Van Beekum pitched in nine points and six rebounds.

OGDEN — Karlee Mayfield scored eight of her game-high 18 points in a 16-8 first quarter, a frame Northridge used to get past Bear River in a Burchell Classic game.
Mayfield added six, including four free throws, to help seal the game in the fourth. Izzy Kap added 12 points for Northridge (2-3) and Megan Sargent hit two 3-pointers for eight points.
Aubree Fry led Bear River (0-5) with 14 points and Saydee Pebley scored 13. Each made two 3-pointers.

ROY — Fremont led 32-16 at the half on the way to a victory at Roy.
