NBA Draft: Utah Jazz take Cody Williams at No. 10, Isaiah Collier at No. 29

SALT LAKE CITY — With two first-round picks in the 2024 NBA Draft, the Utah Jazz selected forward Cody Williams at No. 10, and guard Isaiah Collier at No. 29 during tonight’s live event at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Selected 10th overall in the 2024 NBA Draft by the Jazz, Williams (6-8, 190, Colorado) owned averages of 11.9 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 28.4 minutes per contest as a freshman in 2023-24, garnering 2023-24 Pac-12 All-Freshman Team honors. The 19-year-old competed for USA Basketball at the 2023 FIBA U19 World Cup, averaging 7.9 points and 3.6 rebounds over seven games.

A native of Gilbert, Ariz., Williams attended Perry High School, where he was named a 2023 McDonald’s All-American and was selected to play for Team USA in the 2023 Nike Hoop Summit. His older brother, Jalen, was the 12th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Collier (6-5, 210, USC), drafted 29th overall by Utah, was a 2023-24 Pac-12 All-Freshman team honoree during his lone collegiate season, posting averages of 16.3 points, 4.3 assists, and 1.5 steals in 27 total games. The 19-year-old also shot 49.0 percent from the field, which ranked seven among all Pac-12 players during the 2023-24 season.

An Atlanta native, Collier came out of high school ranked as the nation’s No. 1 overall recruit in the Class of 2023 and was named a 2023 McDonald’s All-American.
