Police: Two men shot, killed in Clinton Thanksgiving morning
CLINTON — Two men are dead after being found with gunshot wounds in Clinton early Thanksgiving morning, the Clinton City Police Department announced in a statement released via Facebook on Thursday.
According to the news release, officers from Clinton and surrounding agencies responded to the area of 2600 W. 2250 North at approximately 1 a.m. Thursday on reports of shots being fired inside of a residence. Two adult males — each with gunshot wounds — were discovered by officers upon their arrival.
“Tragically, one of the individuals was deceased inside of the residence. The second was flown by medical helicopter and was pronounced deceased after arrival at the hospital,” the statement read.
As of Friday afternoon, police had not released the identities of either victim. No additional information about the incident was given in the release, which noted that an investigation is ongoing.
