SOUTH OGDEN — Two people were found dead by authorities at a residence in South Ogden, the South Ogden Police Department announced Tuesday.

Per the release, which was shared via Facebook, officers from South Ogden were dispatched to the home at 653 E. Ben Lomond Ave. — near the intersection of Highway 89 and Adams Avenue — at 12:11 p.m. Monday to conduct a welfare check.

Officers subsequently located a deceased adult male and a deceased adult female inside the home.

According to the release, there’s “no indication of a threat to the general public.” It was further noted that the state medical examiner will determine the cause of death for both individuals.

A spokesperson for the police department declined to say whether those who died had been identified. An investigation into the deaths is ongoing, they said, adding that no further comment or information would be offered at this time.

“South Ogden extends our condolences to those affected by the loss of these individuals,” the release stated.
