Letter: Pentagon portrait removal is a dishonor
The position of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff was established after World War II. The first chairman was General of the Army Omar Bradley. Including him, there have been 21 chairmen. General Mark Milley was number 20. His portrait hung in the Pentagon along with those of his 19 predecessors. To say that he and President Trump had disagreements is an understatement. Nevertheless, on Inauguration Day, his portrait was removed, dishonoring his 33 years of distinguished service to our country. Seems petty to me. And wrong.
