Letter: Thank you, Ogden, for supporting Christmas fundraiser
Thank you Ogden for supporting Shoes for Tots! The Ogden Breakfast Exchange Club has held this fundraiser at Ogden Christmas Village, each season for over 46 years.
The hot chocolate booth next to Santa’s Castle, sells cookies, coffee and hot chocolate. All the proceeds go towards the purchase of shoes for Ogden/Weber schoolchildren and this year was another huge success, raising over $30,000 this season alone! Thanks to fellow members of the Ogden Breakfast Exchange Club, which includes members of other organizations, such as Ogden-Weber Technical College, John E. Lindquist, Weber State University, Weber School Foundation, Ogden City School District, United Way of Northern Utah, Boys and Girls Club, Crossroads of the West Council, BSA, Enable Industries, The Utah Air Show, Congressman Blake Moore, and Ogden Soccer. Also joining us to help out this year were students from the Utah Schools for the Deaf and Blind, as well as Ogden City P.D. — who held their 3rd annual Cocoa with Cops event — helping with sales, running errands and also had games and prizes. Like last year, they again paid for the hot chocolate, cookies and coffee, for the patrons during their visit — a huge win for Ogden and Shoes for Tots! We also want to thank Mayor Ben Nadolski as the first Ogden Mayor to help out with this great fundraiser!
Thanks again to all our volunteers and to all of those who made purchases and donations at the booth this year.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you — and remember — it’s for the kids!
