As a lifelong republican I’m shocked, dismayed, and very disappointed at the state of the Grand Old Party. Think about it, there is no GOP. It’s not a party about conservative values. It’s not about passing beneficial legislation. It’s not about bringing us together to solve problems. It’s not even a platform for governance anymore. It’s the Donald Trump cult and his disgraceful followers.

I’m aghast and so very disappointed in our local leaders because they support this fraud and his apocalyptic ideas to divide us as Americans and take away our freedoms. Have you listened to him lately? He lashes out at everyone. His racist comments sow contention, mistrust and hate. He tears down the very foundation of our Country, our beloved Constitution. And worst of all, our Republican leaders support him. I call them out. Moore, Lee, Maloy, Owens, Cox, and Curtis. Their silence and cowardice to renounce Trump repulses me.

I’m fed up! I can’t morally support any republican in office, locally or nationally. It’s an easy decision. Trump caused death leading the January 6th coup to stay in power. He’s guilty of sexual abuse more than once. He’s guilty of 34 counts of fraud. He’s a racist, dehumanizing anyone not a white male. He thinks he is above the law. And, he’s already challenging the upcoming election. For him, the election will only be fair if he wins.

And we can’t forget how he brags about killing ROE, ending a woman’s right to control their own bodies. And women are dying as a result.

Please, wake up! Analyze what’s right and wrong, and make the choice for good. It’s not about politics anymore. It’s about saving our Country and Constitution by voting out those who support Trump. Find your own truth. Abolish hate in all forms.

It’s time to change directions. It’s time to purge the Republican corruption. Utahns, you have free agency to choose. Please, make the right choice. For me, I’m voting for America and hope for a better future… I’m voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, and I hope you do the same.
