OGDEN — A new symposium is coming this week.
According to a press release from Weber County, the inaugural Northern Utah Development Symposium — themed as “Rooted in Growth: Cultivating Thriving Communities” — will be held at the Ogden Eccles Conference Center on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The symposium is hosted by Weber County Economic Development and the Northern Utah Economic Alliance, or NUEA.
“The event is a collaborative effort from experts across various organizations to tackle development issues in Northern Utah while promoting sustainable growth,” the release said. “Panelists include developers; real estate professionals; tourism directors and representatives from Weber, Davis and Box Elder Counties.”
Kathy Mussio, managing partner at Atlas Insight LLC, which calls itself “a global provider of site selection, credit and incentive consulting, and economic development consulting services,” is set to be the keynote speaker at Wednesday’s event.
“Weber County Economic Development, in partnership with NUEA, is thrilled to host the inaugural Northern Utah Development Symposium,” said Stephanie Russell, Weber County economic development director, in the release. “This is the first event of its kind in Northern Utah that will explore how to cultivate thriving communities through smart growth and future planning. It’s going to be an action-packed day full of insightful discussions, networking and strategies for sustainable development.”
