OGDEN — Intermountain McKay-Dee Hospital has been recognized as one of the “Great hospitals in America” for 2024.

Becker’s Hospital Review, a national health care publication, recognized McKay-Dee in its top 100 list last week.

The organization said in a press release that it chose McKay-Dee Hospital because of its clinical excellence, commitment to patient safety, innovative initiatives, research and innovation, and high patient satisfaction.

“We are honored to be included on Becker’s list of America’s greatest hospitals, among so many other renowned hospitals,” said Judy Williamson, president of Intermountain McKay-Dee Hospital. “This national recognition represents our caregivers’ tireless dedication and commitment to safety, high quality of care, and innovation that benefits our patients and all of the communities throughout northern Utah.”

Becker’s editorial staff reviews hospitals’ recent awards, rankings, achievements and ratings as part of the selection process. This includes listings in the U.S. News & World Report, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Healthgrades awards and The LeapFrog Group safety grades.

“Our services are among the top in the nation, including our expanded Intermountain Cancer Center at McKay-Dee Hospital, dedicated to high-quality patient care and safety standards,” Williamson said. “As a vital community partner, Intermountain McKay-Dee is committed to promoting overall wellness and superior patient outcomes. We’re grateful to have those efforts validated by our patients and others, such as Becker’s Hospital Review.”

The Ogden-based trauma level II hospital has 319 beds and offers care in 63 specialties. Several more improvements and additions to the hospital are in the works, including an expansion of its intensive care unit. The hospital has received recognition for its nationally ranked clinical programs, and has been named one of the nation’s top 100 hospitals by Fortune Magazine and PINC AI.
