AtWork employees and members of the Ogden-Weber Chamber of Commerce cut the ribbon on the staffing agency's new Ogden-area offices in Roy on Monday, March 31, 2025.

ROY — People around the Ogden region now have a new tool available to them when it comes to finding a new job.

On Monday, AtWork — stylized as “@WORK” — held a ribbon cutting of its new Ogden branch just off of 1900 West in Roy along with the Ogden-Weber Chamber of Commerce.

Ahead of the ribbon cutting, Jason Anderson, who is heading up the Ogden branch, said the staffing and recruiting industry is a rewarding job to have.

“We try to make an impact in peoples’ lives,” he said. “For whatever reason, some people are looking for work. And for us to have the opportunity to open doors for them and help them get to work is very rewarding. One of my favorite things is, and this will happen periodically, somebody will reach out and say, ‘Jason, I just want to thank you. Years ago, you placed me as a frontline, entry-level worker and now I’m the warehouse manager of this building.'”

Anderson told the Standard-Examiner that AtWork specializes in finding people work in light industrial, clerical, direct-hire, quick-hire and project staffing roles. The Ogden office, as of Monday, has been in operation for a week and currently has three full-time staffers.

“We’re just getting started,” Anderson said. “We’ve got several clients and several associates that have come in.”

AtWork’s opening in Ogden comes at a time when many in the Ogden area could be impacted due to cuts in the federal workforce and a potential economic slowdown.

Anderson said services like AtWork can be crucial in times like these.

“That is our purpose right there — somebody that feels like they’re a little down on their luck and for whatever reason they find themselves saying, ‘OK, I’m going to do my own searches for jobs, but who can do some work for me?'” he said. ‘That’s what we can do. We will interview, we will screen, we will qualify them and then as we work with several clients, we will try to open doors for those people.”

In addition to Ogden, AtWork also has Utah locations in West Valley City, Sandy and Lehi.
