In conjunction with the planned open house for the new Syracuse Utah Temple, the Standard-Examiner will be producing a magazine commemorating the occasion. The magazine will include articles about local history, the construction of the Syracuse temple, temple building in Utah and more.

The Standard-Examiner is currently seeking photographs from readers of the temple construction process. If you would like to submit a photo for possible inclusion in the magazine that shows any part of the Syracuse temple construction process, from breaking ground to the final touches, please email it to Christi Babbitt at christibabbitt@msn.com by March 15.

Please include your name so credit can be included with the photo. General photos of the completed temple are being accepted as well.

Announced by Church President Russell M. Nelson during The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ April 2020 general conference, the Syracuse Utah Temple will be open to the public for tours May 10 through 31. It will be dedicated on June 8.

It is one of 31 temples operating, planned or under construction in Utah, including two others in Davis County: the Layton Utah Temple and the Bountiful Utah Temple.

Starting at $4.32/week.
