City Manager/Attorney Jon Call confirmed to the Standard-Examiner on Monday that Police Chief Brian Eynon was placed on administrative leave earlier this month.
“We’re looking into internal policies. There’s nothing criminal involved,” Call said. “And then, just as a matter of procedure, that’s what we do is put people on administrative leave — or at least department heads — while we do this sort of thing.”
The investigation is being conducted by a third party, according to the city, which noted that more information would be released pending the results of said investigation.
Eynon became North Ogden’s police chief last May. He previously spent several years with the Ogden City Police Department and also worked with the Los Angeles Police Department, according to an announcement from North Ogden City.
