Weber State University set to host ‘Meet the Candidates’ events for Weber, Davis counties

Election Day is just barely a month away and Weber State University’s Walker Institute of Politics & Public Service is giving residents of Weber and Davis counties opportunities to meet their candidates.

According to a press release from WSU, a set of “Meet the Candidates” events “will allow candidates for various political offices including the Utah State Legislature, U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives to speak with the residents of Davis and Weber counties. Residents will also be able to ask questions and let their voices be heard.”

The first event, set for Monday from 6-8 p.m., will be held in the Dumke Legacy Hall room at the Hurst Center at the WSU Ogden campus.

Candidates who are set to appear include, as of Thursday: Laura Bussey-Johnson, Bill Campbell, Angela Choberka, Rosemary Lesser, Steve Van Wagoner, Katy Hall, Rosemary Lesser, Matt Gwynn, Lynelle Jensen, Stacy Bernal, Jim Harvey, Jill Koford, Carlton Bowen and Rod Hall.

The second event, set for Oct. 7 from 6-8 p.m., will be held in the Stewart Ballroom at the WSU Davis campus.

Candidates who are set to appear include, as of Thursday: Joshua Smith, Aaron Willey, Laura Bussey-Johnson, Bill Campbell, Katy Hall, Brigit Gerrard, Rob Leatham, Carlton Bowen, Lorri Rogers and Austin Hepworth.
