OGDEN — Ogden Union Station is looking to transport you back to the 1920s.

According to a press release from Ogden City, The Museums at Union Station will be hosting a festival celebrating Ogden’s Roaring ’20s Saturday from noon-8 p.m.

“At this free, interactive festival, guests will be able to celebrate the 1920s with food, music, costume, immersive light projections, and much more at Ogden Union Station,” the release stated.

The following are a list of activities and events that will take place at the festival, according to the release:

• “1920s immersive experience: Feel the bustle of a 1920s Union Station with an immersive projection art recreation of a passenger rail travel scene.

• “Costume experience: Guests may be selected by judges as among the best-dressed of the prohibition era. Guests are encouraged to dress in their favorite 1920s outfit.

• “Car show: The 1920s’ best transportation technology will be on display on the Union Station Plaza.

• “Silent films: Hollywood’s hits from the 1920s will be shown in the Union Station Grand Lobby.

• “Vintage photo station: Free photographers to document the Roaring Twenties experience in true vintage style.

• “Music and dance: With live 1920s-style musicians, guests can dance in our faux-speakeasy environment.

• “Food fair: In true 1920s fashion, guests can get fair-style food for only a (fake) dime.

• “Free museum admission: Learn more about Ogden’s Roaring Twenties in the Museums at Union Station galleries. Vote for your favorite 1920s Ogden building to show your love for Ogden.”

The festival comes as Ogden Union Station continues to celebrate its 100th year. The current station was built in 1924.
