Halloween events, attractions happening in Weber and northern Davis counties

Less than one week remains until Halloween on Thursday. However, residents of Weber and northern Davis counties can still look forward to things going bump in the night (and during the day) beyond trick-or-treating between now and the holiday.

The following is a noncomprehensive list of events and activities happening throughout the region over the next several days. A number of local pumpkin patches remain open, haunted houses/corn mazes are operating and several cultural events will be taking place during the runup to All Hallows’ Eve.

Events

Halloween at Hogwarts, The Bigelow in Ogden, Friday — Trick-or-treating down Diagon Alley in the building’s historic parlor for all ages from 4-7 p.m. A costume contest, games, vendors and a photo booth will also be on hand. Admission is free. That will be followed by The Sorcerer’s Soirée, an 18+ event, from 8-11 p.m. Tickets are $20 or $35 for couples tickets at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/halloween-at-hogwarts-tickets-1031233425937/.

Garden Spooktacular, Weber Basin Water Conservancy District in Layton, Friday — A free family event running from 4-8 p.m. that will feature a treasure hunt in the “spooktacular” garden, balloon artists, voting on a pumpkin carving contest and other entertainment. Costumes are encouraged.

Zombie Prom, Eliza’s Sober Dance Club in Roy, Friday — Beginning at 8 p.m. with dancing, a zombie prom photo op and a costume contest with a $50 grand prize. Admission is $20 at the door, cash or Venmo. Ages 16 and up.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Peery’s Egyptian Theater in Ogden, Friday and Saturday — Screenings of the cult classic film at 7:20 p.m., preceded by parties with food and bar and costume contests at 5:30 p.m. Saturday’s movie screening is sold out. Syracuse Pumpkin Walk, Founders Park in Syracuse, Friday and Saturday — Rain or shine free event will run from 6:30-9:30 p.m. each night and will include a display of carved pumpkins, seasonal treats from local vendors and fright night lights (9 p.m. on Friday).

Seventh Annual Official Ogden Halloween Bar Crawl, Saturday — From 4 p.m. to 12 a.m.; participating bars include The L.A.B. (check-in location), Historic Place, Lamplite Bar, Harp and Hound, Red Light, UTOG Brewing Company and KoKoMo Club. To feature exclusive drink specials, food specials, a national costume contest, professional photographers and more. Tickets are available online at https://www.crawlwith.us/ogden/halloween/.

Nosferatu Live-to-Film, Peery’s Egyptian Theater in Ogden, Wednesday — A live-to-picture performance of F.W. Murnau’s horror masterpiece with organist Cameron Carpenter playing on the theater’s Wurlitzer organ, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tickets starting at $25 are available online at https://www.ogdenpet.com/events/2024/nosferatu-live-to-film-with-cameron-carpenter/.

Haunted Attractions/Corn Mazes

Haunted Hollow in West Haven — Located at 1550 S. 1900 West and open beginning at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday from now until Nov. 2. Tickets from $28 can be purchased in advance online at https://hauntedhollowutah.com/.

Happy Pumpkin Corn Maze in West Haven — Located at 3462 W. 2900 South and open from 4-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, from 4-11 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday until Oct. 30. Featuring the Field of Fear Haunted House, a giant corn maze, courtyard concessions and pumpkin sales. Tickets from $10 are available online at https://www.happypumpkinmaze.com/.

Willard Bay Ghoulish Gardens — A family-friendly haunted house experience at Willard Bay Gardens, located at 7095 U.S. 89, open 7:30-9:30 p.m. Friday through Tuesday. Features haunted greenhouses, a ghost train ride and lawn games. Tickets from $5 can be purchased online via https://www.willardbaygardens.com/.

Dark Nightmare Haunted Attraction in Huntsville — Located at 8949 Eagle Way and open 7-10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. To be proceeded each night by a family-friendly treat trail from 4-6:30 p.m. ($5 admission). Tickets for the haunted attraction at $15 per person are available online at https://darknightmareattraction.com/.

Hour of Darkness Haunted House in Farmington — At Pack Farms Pumpkin Patch and open 7-11 p.m. this Friday and Saturday. A daytime haunted trail for “scaredy-cats” will also be open from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday ($6 admission). Regular tickets from $20 are available online at https://hourofdarkness.fearticket.com/.

Pumpkin Patches

For people still in need of last-minute pumpkins for their doorsteps and other Halloween needs, a number of pumpkin patches will remain open for the next several days while supplies last. Some farms offer activities, corn mazes and other attractions. The following farms have posted open hours:

Green Acres Farms in Ogden — Located at 449 S. 4700 West, opening at 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m. Saturday until Thursday.

Black Island Farms in Syracuse — Located at 2075 S. 4000 West and open from 4-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, from 4-11 p.m. Friday, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday through Nov. 2.

Pack Farms in Farmington — Located at 1802 W. Glovers Lane, open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and until 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday for Hour of Darkness through Wednesday.

McFarland Family Farms/The Historic Monastery Farm in Huntsville — Located at 1250 S. 9500 East, open from 4-8 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. Saturday until Thursday.
