OGDEN — Chamber Orchestra Ogden will hold its annual Untamed POPS! concert on Saturday at the Ogden Amphitheater.
It’s free and starts at 7:30 p.m.
“There will be music from Star Wars, Jesus Christ Superstar, Spider-Man, the Music Man, Beauty and the Beast and much more. Of course the Lone Ranger will be there in spirit and in music as well,” reads a chamber press release.
The orchestra will also perform “King’s March,” newly composed by Jim King, and a new piece by Ogden’s Alfonso Tenreiro called “Through the Trees,” composed in memory of songwriter Burt Bacharach, who died last February.
“In addition to great music, there will be food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and fun for everyone. Buy food at the concert or bring a picnic of your own,” reads the chamber statement. No outside alcohol is allowed.

Jennifer Hughes, an Ogden-based singer and musician, will be a guest soloist on Tenreiro’s piece, backed up by the orchestra.
Tenreiro said Bacharach has always been a major influence, noting his famous song “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head,” featured in the movie “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.” “His orchestration technique is what attracted me from an early age,” Tenreiro said.
