‘Oh my God!’ Halloween’s coming to The Monarch

Witches and goblins and trolls … oh my! It’s Halloween Time at The Monarch. Celebrate the Season of Spook with a hauntingly sweet time at the market, then dust the cobwebs off your best witchy attire for a ladies’ night and go bat-crazy on Halloween night watching one of the “best worst” horror flicks of all time.
All three of these devilishly fun events are free with beer gardens, music and a plethora of hocus pocus for all ages.

What are you doing this Saturday? The Monarch is the place to be for all ages! Celebrate Halloween month during the Monarch Market with indoor trick-or-treating to over 25 vendors and creative studios. The beer garden will have live music from Ogden’s country-folk duo Turtle Dovin’ and Ninth Muse Academy of Art has a free pumpkin activity for kids in the workshop room. And more!
- Indoor trick-or-treating for children to vendors and creative studios.
- Pumpkin carving contest: Bring your own, already carved, jack-o’-lantern.
- Costume contest for children, Main Lobby, 2 p.m.
- Kids’ pumpkin craft in the workshop room, hosted by Ninth Muse Academy of Art.

Witches’ Night Out is the debut of our monthly Ladies’ Night Out series every third Thursday at The Monarch. This month, grab your best witches and enjoy an intimate concert with Michelle Moonshine, shop from over 30 unique artisans, get tarot card readings, giveaways and more! In addition, attendees may purchase tickets for the optional Witches Tea Party, hosted by Wild Meraki.

9 Rails Film Festival Presents “Troll 2”

9 Rails Film Festival returns this year celebrating the 1990 comedy-horror flick famous for being the “best worst film of all time” — “Troll 2,” starring Ogden-based musician and actor Darren Ewing. A silent auction, including four original “Troll 2”-themed paintings by Ogden artist Steve Stones, and donations at the event will go to support Ogden Contemporary Arts and next year’s 9 Rails Film Festival.
