David John Knight

David John Knight, age 76, of Waddell, Arizona passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025.
David John Knight, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on March 8, 2025. Born on March 23, 1948, in Ogden, Utah, to Waldron John and Ruth Stratford Knight, David lived a life full of love, dedication, and adventure.
David graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1966 and later pursued higher education at Weber State College, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering in 1981. That same year, he and his wife, Elizabeth (Betty) A. Kennedy, whom he married on July 26, 1975, moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where he began his career with Sperry Univac. He later retired from Honeywell in 2014 after many years of hard work and dedication.
A devoted family man, David is survived by his children: Charles D. Knight (Maria) of Phoenix, Arizona, and their children, June Knight, Xavier Lee, and Dominic Lee; and Krista L. Knight (Nathan Fallat) of West Lake, Ohio, and their children, Kaylynn Knight, James Bolton, Gavin Fallat, and Chayce Fallat.
He is also survived by his siblings, Diane Weir (Tom) of Kaysville, Utah; Jeanne Lott (David) of Kearns, Utah; and Tim Knight (Sheryl) of Roy, Utah; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.
David found great joy in the outdoors, spending time fishing and camping with family and friends. He also loved riding his beloved horse “Cochise” with the Arizona Desert Riders, embracing the adventure and camaraderie of the open trails.
Per his wishes, private services were held, and he was laid to rest at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix, Arizona.
David’s kindness, wisdom, and sense of adventure will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who loved him.
