Darrell Francis Bridwell

Darrell Francis Bridwell 86, of Ogden, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at home on December 16th 2024.
He was born on September 6th 1938, in Lantry SD, to Francis Marion Bridwell and Luella Ione Voss. The family moved to Utah while his dad was serving in WWII, joining his mom’s parents when he was a toddler.
Dad grew up in Ogden on West 17th and Center where he roamed the river bottoms and foothills. He hunted Crows for bounty earning .50 for a pair of wings. Dad once ran away by jumping on a freight train, he got hungry and came back before anyone knew he was even gone. Dad went on to graduate from Ben Lomond HS in 1956.
Dad was married to Carol Ann Roe. From that marriage three children were welcomed into this world, Kevin Darrell Bridwell, Ogden Ut. LuAnn Carol Tocher, (Stan) Ogden Ut. Shawn Darrell Bridwell (Brenda) Brigham City.
Dad had several jobs over the years including Hill Air Force Base as an aircraft mechanic and electrian. While employed with Hill dad served TDY to Japan and The Philippines. He also traveled to Great Falls Mt, Malmstrom AFB, to maintain and service the MMIII ICB silos and critical support facilities.
Dad attended Weber State College graduating with honors with an Associate of Applied Distributive Tech Sales and Retailing. June 8, 1984
Dad married Darlene Maria Malinoski on June 1st 1984 at Valley Camp Eden Ut, they were married for 40 years.
Dad was preceded in death by his mother and father, brother from another mother Victor Davis, his sister Charlotte and son Shawn.
Dad is survived by his wife Darlene, sisters Darlene, Doris (Bob) & Carol (Glenn), Son Kevin, daughter LuAnn (Stan), daughter in law Brenda. Grandchildren: Tessa Clark (Justin), Chase Green, Hayden Green (Kelsey) Shaw Green (Shantae) Dajuan Bridwell and nine great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews.
