Bonnie Jean (Greenwood) Wilkerson

Bonnie Jean (Greenwood) Wilkerson, 79, passed away December 8, 2024 in Peoria, Arizona.
Bonnie was born June 22, 1945, in Ogden, Utah; the fourth child of Bert and Elda Greenwood and graduated from Weber High School in 1963. While working as a carhop in Roy, Utah she met John Wilkerson who was stationed at Hill Airforce Base. They were married on May 10, 1963, and soon after moved to Miami, Florida where they started their family.
Bonnie was a lifelong disciple of Jesus Christ and active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in which she served in numerous capacities including Young Women’s President, Primary President, Relief Society President, Young Women’s Camp Director, and as a Family History missionary in Salt Lake City, Utah. Bonnie was a master seamstress who helped support her family during their time in Miami, Florida, and who devoted her skills to numerous charity initiatives, throughout her life, such as making quilts for veterans and sewing bags for homeless care kits. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and devoted countless hours to creating memories with them (and the most fabulous Halloween costumes for them).
Bonnie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Mark Wilkins; five siblings, Connie (Rich) Scott, Stewart (Ann) Greenwood, Ned (Joan) Greenwood, Richard (Dessa) Greenwood, and Faye Wood; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, Karen Souders, and her granddog, Rocky (the only dog she ever liked).
A private graveside service for family will be held in Roy, Utah at a later date.
