Gerald Blaine Farr

Mar 11, 2025

Gerald Blaine Farr, a dedicated and courageous soul, was born on January 8, 1933, in Ogden, UT. Gerald, a humble man of great humor and heart, passed on March 7, 2025, leaving an irreplaceable void in the lives of his loved ones. His life, which spanned 92 years, was a testament to his unwavering commitment to his family, his faith, and his community. Gerald was a man of many talents, he was a master of cheese making, a skilled farmer, a diligent construction worker, and a meticulous car detailer, retiring from the Western General Dairy in Ogden, Utah. His dedication was evident not only in his professional life but also in his hobbies. An avid outdoorsman, Gerald found joy in fishing and hunting, and his creativity shone through in his woodworking projects.

Gerald, a lifelong resident of West Weber, Utah, was a pillar of his community. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and dedicated much of his time serving as a scout leader, inspiring many young minds through his service. His devout faith lead him to serve a mission in Boston, Massachusetts, alongside his late wife, Jeannine. A humble man, Gerald’s faith was unwavering, and he believed in the omnipresence of God’s hand in everything. He lived a life guided by the verse, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6). Gerald imparted these beliefs to his family, always standing by their side, whether it was attending countless games, performances, and ceremonies, or even bailing them out of jail when necessary. He loved his family unconditionally, and his support was constant, come rain or come shine.

Gerald is survived by 5 out of 6 children, Lowell (Kelly) Farr of West Weber, Dale Farr of Ogden, Dennis (Julie) Farr of Pleasant View, Trena (Clark) Roueche of Plain City, and Janet Jarnagin of West Weber, and 20 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren that he adored. He was preceded in death by his wife Jeannine Thompson Farr, parents, Winslow Blaine and Evelyn Farr, his daughter Natalie Perkins, three grandsons and a sister, Rochelle Taylor.
