Charles “Charlie” P. Arave

Charles “Charlie” P. Arave, 86, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2025, in Ogden, Utah. He was born July 9, 1938, to Clarence E. Arave and Leone Fowler.
Charlie married Karen Franson on July 17, 1964, in the Salt Lake Temple. They had four children and lived in Roy, Utah, until Karen’s passing in 2003. In 2005, he married Joyce Henderson, who passed away in 2019.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Charlie served in many callings, including an honorable mission to the Gulf States. He loved spending time with his family, skiing, antique cars, and close friends. He and Karen co-owned a photography business for nearly 40 years, and Charlie served in the Army Reserves.
Charlie is survived by his four children: Richard (Carolee) Arave, Todd (KennaRae) Arave, Marne’ (Kevin) Rice, and Marlee (Wesley) Allen-Arave; stepchildren: Jennifer (Dane) Webster, Angela (Devin) Dixon, Eddie Henderson, and Micah (Tina) Henderson; 17 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Gary Arave. He was preceded in death by his wives, parents, and brothers Eldon and Leon Arave.
The family expresses gratitude to the staff at SOPA and AHA for their compassionate care.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 15, 2025, 11:00 AM with a visitation on Friday, March 14, 2025 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and prior to services 9:30 – 10:45 AM at Myers Mortuary 845 Washington Blvd, Ogden, UT.
