Sherry Ann Yarrington Newey
Sherry Ann Yarrington Newey passed away February 27, 2025, at Ogden Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family and friends. Sherry was born on March 19, 1954 in Ogden Utah to Phyllis and Robert Yarrington. She attended Ogden High School.
In 1972 she married Carl Newey and had two children Tina and Brad. They lived on a 48-acre farm off 3500 west in Roy. The whole family spent their summers raising hay for the horses. Her children were always her number one priority in her life. She was divorced in 1990. From 2005 to 2022 Sherry spent her time with Roger Mast. After Roger passed, she rediscovered her longtime friend Don Rohde and spent her time in Idaho Falls.
She is preceded in death by her two brothers Gary and Lee Yarrington and father and mother. She is survived by Sister Judy Pahl, Daughter Tina Martin (Rick), Son Brad Newey (Paul), Granddaughters Kylee Loveland (Tristan) and Tess Martin, and Great-granddaughter Kelly Loveland.
A visitation service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 10:00 am at Myers Mortuary – Roy, located at 5865 S. 1900 W., Roy, Utah, 84067. Then a celebration of life service will follow at 11:00 am at the same location. Sherry’s family invites you to join them in celebrating her life and legacy.
A celebration of life is being planned at Trinity United Methodist Church in Idaho Falls when Don and Sherry’s family can schedule it.
