Janet Webber Dopp
March 7, 1950 — December 22, 2024
Janet Webber Dopp, age 74, passed away quietly and peacefully in her home, Sunday afternoon, December 22, 2024.
Born March 7, 1950, in Ogden, Utah, to John and Ruth Webber. Janet was the 6th of 7 children. She had such a zest for life at an early age and had a great time growing up in a large family.
Janet was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
After graduating from Ogden High School, she continued to live her life to the fullest, by moving to Hawaii for a short time with a few of her close friends, living it up on the beach and soaking in the sun. She returned home and attended Weber State University, enjoying school and joining a sorority, while waiting for the love of her life to return home from his mission. Only to get hitched just seven short months later.
Brent A. Dopp and Janet were married on September 1, 1970, in the Salt Lake City Temple. From there they began to work hard to prepare and grow their life together, having three children and ten grandchildren.
She was always working hard to help make whatever was in front of her “Top Notch”, whether it be in her job, or all the countless hours of volunteer work, she always made sure to give it her all!
Janet loved whatever project she had in front of her. She enjoyed activities like tennis and skiing and being a part of many church callings; to her connections with her kids, supporting all of their sporting events, and being the most amazing PTA President, or even just being a chauffeur to her kids and their friends.
She enjoyed the quality time spent with her loving husband, serving over 12 years together as senior missionaries at the Salt Lake City Visitors Center at Temple Square for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Janet also loved going on vacations with Brent, along with many other unforgettable moments.
She spent the better part of her working years as a unit clerk in the emergency room at McKay Dee Hospital, where she made so many lifelong friends and enjoyed all that she did and was a part of.
Some of Janet’s funnest times were made with her grandchildren, in which she loved so much, never wanting to miss out on anything, and always so proud of each of their accomplishments.
She loved whole heartedly, and made sure each person she came in contact with knew it!
Janet has always been an amazing example of enduring to the end, never giving up, and always finding a way through the hard times. Now it is her time to finally rest peacefully.
Janet is survived by her husband, Brent Dopp; son, Brad (Kristi) Dopp and children, Alex, Kirsten, Kate and Jacob; son, Matt (Amy) Dopp, and children, Carsen, EJ and Haylee; and her daughter, Angie (Kris) Jensen and their children, Seneca, Kye and Tige.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
We want to thank all of the many Health Care workers who have cared for Janet throughout the years, helping her live the best and the longest she could possibly have gone.
We Love you to the Moon and Back, Mom.
