Adela Godin

It is with great sadness that the family of Adela Godin announce her passing on February 20, 2025, at the age of 78. Adela was born in the Philippines to Ambrocio and Francisca Aquino on January 6, 1947. Adela brought her vibrant culture and warm spirit to Layton, Utah.
Adela leaves behind her daughter, Jean Morgan, and son-in-law, Mark, of Ogden, Utah, and grandchildren, Monty and Owen Lifsey, who will miss her deeply.
Her son, William Godin, along with his wife, Jennifer, also of Ogden, Utah, and their children, Dawson, Kyan, and Mylie Godin, will forever cherish the memories she bestowed upon them.
Adela’s siblings, Irene Pascua, Lilia Poblete, Ben (Carol) Aquino, Ambrocio (Imelda) Aquino Jr., Angie (Manny) Baisa, and Carlos (Sally) Aquino, will hold dear the bond of family.
Adela is also preceded in death by siblings, Fernando Aquino, Rogelio Aquino, Quirino Aquino, Maria Aquino, and Crisostomo Aquino.
Adela’s interests were a reflection of her creative and nurturing soul. She found joy in sewing, an art through which she expressed her love and care for those around her. Her cooking brought people together in celebration of both everyday moments and special occasions. Adela also found great joy in crocheting and gardening.
Adela’s family will meet with family and friends on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 1:00 -1:45 p.m. Funeral Services following at 2:00 p.m. at Leavitt’s Mortuary- 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah. Interment at Leavitt’s Aultorest Memorial Park.
