Edward Ernest Ray Baumann

Edward Ernest Ray Baumann, 92, passed away on Tuesday morning, February 18, 2025, at his home in Willard, Utah. He was born on September 30, 1932, to Ernest Lowell Baumann and Mary Lillian Baumann in Fallon, Nevada. He was a long-time resident of Willard, Utah.
He married Sandra Jane (Lohse) Baumann on June 10, 1957, in Fallon, Nevada. They were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple on June 10, 1959. Together they had five children, to whom Edward was a dedicated father. They spent a lifetime of love and joy together, with 67 years of a beautiful marriage.
Edward graduated from Churchill County High School. Prior to marriage, he served in the U.S. Army for two years. He was a long-time volunteer firefighter with the Willard Fire Department. He was employed and retired as a mechanic at Hill Air Force Base.
He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served faithfully in callings such as ward clerk, church librarian, and a counselor in the bishopric. As the Stake Dance Directors, Edward and Sandra were known for their love of dancing. He loved studying the gospel and showed Christlike love to all. He spent his time cheerfully serving and caring for others.
He was innovative beyond measure, always inventing creative solutions to problems. He imparted wisdom to everyone he talked to. He had a gift for teaching others through simple stories and his example.
Edward’s greatest joy in life was his family. He was mindful of each of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He loved spending time with his family and always found ways to show his love to them. He leaves a legacy of love, kindness, and positivity. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Edward is survived by his wife, Sandra Jane Baumann, and children Tim (Becky) Baumann, Noran (Cristina) Baumann, Todd (Libby) Baumann, Vance Baumann, and Konda (Lee) Walker. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by Lee Walker (son-in-law), Timothy Myles Baumann (grandson), Kyrah Neveah Hutchings (great-granddaughter), and Angelina Garcia (great-granddaughter).
A viewing will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Myers Mortuary at 205 South 100 East Brigham City, UT 84302.
The funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 11:00 am at 665 West 7615 South Willard, UT 84340. Prior to the funeral a viewing will be at 9:30-10:30 am on Saturday, February 22, 2025, also at the church. Interment following the services will be at the Willard Cemetery, 470 N Main St., Willard, UT 84340.
