Celebrating the Life of Christopher James McQuestion
With love and honor, we celebrate the life of Christopher James McQuestion, a beloved son, devoted father, cherished brother, and adored uncle, who passed away on January 19, 2025, at 7:35 in the morning at the age of 39. Though his physical presence is gone, his spirit, his laughter, and his unwavering love for family and friends will live on forever.
Born on January 6, 1986, Christopher was the beloved son of Kim A. Cutrubus McQuestion and Chris Peter McQuestion. He loved his children, his sister, and his nieces and nephews more than anything and would do absolutely anything for them. His heart was boundless, his patience endless, and his devotion unmatched.
Christopher was a man of many talents and accomplishments. He graduated in 2004 from Riverside High School before enlisting in the 101st Battalion at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. From there, he was transferred to Maryland and then to Tennessee, where he became an expert marksman and sharpshooter. He also completed welding training for both light and heavy equipment and later pursued his passion for storytelling at the Los Angeles Film School.
Christopher had a magnetic personality, befriended by all who met him. He was deeply respected and loved by his colleagues, including his most recent boss, Keith, with whom he shared a great friendship.
Beyond his career, Christopher was an exceptional artist and painter, known for his eye for detail and strong work ethic. He dedicated his time to volunteering at Cornerstone Christian Church with Pastor Todd. His love for sports was unparalleled–he was a nationally ranked wrestler, a top-tier basketball player, a skilled wakeboarder, snowboarder, and water skier, and he excelled in baseball from little league onward. Once, while golfing, he amazed everyone by hitting a ball 300 yards. His favorite sports teams were the Dodgers, Buffalo Bills, and Raiders. More than anything, he loved playing and teaching sports to his children, demonstrating an angelic patience and a genuine passion for coaching.
Christopher’s greatest passion in life was to be the best father, brother, husband, and son. He is survived by his beloved children:
Neveah Ismini McQuestion (16 years old) and her mother Jessica Lynn Jones
Christopher James Byrum McQuestion Jr. (9 years old)
Vincent (Vinny) Jay McQuestion (8 years old)
Apollo Jordan McQuestion
He deeply loved their mother, Kaitlyn Brianna Byrum, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond. He is also survived by his parents, Kim A. Cutrubus McQuestion and Chris Peter McQuestion.
Christopher is preceded in death by his grandfather, Papa James McQuestion Sr., his Yia-Yia Pauleen McQuestion, his uncle James (Jim) McQuestion Jr., and his uncle Dan K. Cutrubus.
