Nancy Sapp

Feb 6, 2025

June 28, 1941 – January 27, 2025

Kaysville — We are heartbroken to announce the death of Nancy Jane Sapp, 83, who passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025, at her residence in Whisper Cove Assisted Living, surrounded by her family. She leaves behind her five daughters, Tammy Hayes, Patricia (Mick) Thueson, Christy (Paul) Sapp, Rebecca (Laurence) McMurrin, Rachael (Jeff) Flinders, and many grand and great grandchildren.

Nancy was born June 28, 1941, the daughter of John and Nellie Woerlein, and raised in Ohio. She married Joseph Sapp on August 27, 1960. They moved to Utah when Joseph was transferred to Hill Air Force Base and made a home for their family. Together they raised five daughters and were blessed with 62 years before his passing on October 1, 2022.

Nancy was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, with a heart full of pride for her many children and grandchildren. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending her free time reading, along with playing board games, which brought her great joy and many fun moments with family and friends. Nancy and Joseph shared a love for traveling and going on cruises where they delighted in the local shows, attractions, and the scenic charm of the areas they travelled.

Nancy loved homemaking, sewing, movies, cross stitch, puzzles, cards and crosswords. When her children were young, she sewed all their clothes and their baby doll clothes. She often made the same outfit for her older children, sometimes making them look like they could be twins. She loved holidays and would artistically decorate the entire house on Christmas and Easter. She especially loved the family gatherings when all her children and their families would get together at her house, resulting in a loud, boisterous, and chaotic environment, the consequence of having 5 daughters who fiercely love one another.

A celebration of Life will be held this spring.
