Dixie Lynn Reeves
Our loving mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend Dixie Lynn Reeves passed away on January 28, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Dixie was born on March 12, 1944, to Owen and Dorothy Davis Knudson. She was raised in Brigham City, Utah were she graduated as a Box Elder Bee. A week later, she married her sweetheart, Dwight Gordon Reeves, on June 1st, 1962 in the Logan, Utah temple. Dixie was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held various callings. She worked 53 years at Maddox Ranch House — a career she loved alongside her 2nd family that she cherished. She always came alive when she talked about her experience there. If she wasn’t working, she was spending quality time with family, friends, and giving countless hours of service.
Dixie was a source of love and joy for her family and friends, and she made moments together always special and fun. Dixie loved her people dearly, and you could always count on her for a kind word, a listening ear, and a good meal. She had a special way of making you feel seen and heard, and made sure you knew that you were loved. She loved unconditionally and without hesitation. She was kind, generous, and accepted others as they were, never asking for a thing in return. To know Dixie was to love her. She will be missed dearly.
Dixie is survived by her children: Sheila (Wayne) Montierth and Bryan (Julie) Reeves; her grandchildren: Sean (Carly) McDonald; Mckell (Robert) Baird; Rylee (Timmeri) Reeves and Baylee (Jackson) Laub; her brother Raymond (Karen) Knudson; and her great grandchildren — who she loved the most: Allie, Rayce, Riggin, Benson, Roxy, Olivia, and Luca. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dwight, her son, Randy Reeves; her mother and father, Owen and Doe; her sister, Linda Reeder; and her great grandson, Beau Gordon Reeves. Thank you to the friends and family of Dixie who continued to show up for her —- she loved you all more than you’ll know.
