Vicki Ann Murdock

Vicki Ann Murdock, a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025, in her hometown of Ogden, Utah, where she was born on May 17, 1955. Vicki’s warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
She was the beloved daughter of Stanley and Leila Speigle, who have preceded her in death. Vicki grew up surrounded by a sense of family and community that would guide her throughout her life. She faced the loss of her brothers, Sheldon and David Speigle, with grace and resilience, honoring their memories in everything she did.
Vicki’s life was filled with love, laughter, and a deep passion for her interests. She enjoyed playing soccer, nurturing plants, and caring for animals, but perhaps her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren. Kaitlynn, Korbin, Kanyon, Kylan, Taylor, Justin, and Jason will remember their grandma not only for her gentle spirit but also for the countless moments of joy and creativity she shared with them.
In addition to her treasures in life, Vicki is survived by her devoted husband, James “Rick” B. Murdock Jr., who stood by her side through thick and thin. She also leaves behind her son, James “Riki” (Michelle) B. Murdock III, and her daughter, Jessica Murdock, her sisters, Coralee (Rick) North and Terry (Ronnie) Reynolds; and brother Jerry (Sandy) Speigle.
As we gather to remember Vicki, we are reminded of the many ways she enriched our lives. Her creativity flourished through hobbies like cross stitch, a testament to her dedication and patience. Vicki had a knack for finding beauty in the everyday occurrences and sharing it with others, a trait that will forever resonate in the hearts of her family and friends.
A graveside service will be held in Vicki’s honor on April 23, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Hooper Cemetery, 5290 South 6300 West, Hooper, Utah, followed by a Celebration of Life at the family home, 2951 West 4950 South, Roy. Please wear casual clothes.
In lieu of flowers, per Vicki’s request, please make a donation in Vicki’s name to a no kill animal shelter.
In this time of sorrow and celebration of Vicki’s life, we find solace in the love she bestowed upon us and the indelible mark she left on our hearts. Though she may no longer walk among us, her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the stories we tell, the moments we cherish, and the love we carry forward.
