Gerald Vernon Bush

Gerald Vernon Bush, 88, of Clinton, UT, passed away on Wednesday, April 9th, 2025.
Gary was born on September 22, 1936, in Logan, UT and grew up in Smithfield, UT. He graduated from Davis High in 1955. On August 22, 1957, he married Louise Platt in the Salt Lake temple. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1959 with a bachelor’s degree in broadcasting and journalism.
Gary worked at Job Service and the Post Office, as well as serving his country in the Utah Army National Guard and US Air Force for 34 years. He also served in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a finance clerk and temple worker. His sense of humor and love of music made it easy for people to love him. He will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his wife Louise Bush; his children Christine Lipsey (Lee), Bev Morford (Jeff), Richard Bush (Rachael), Vernon Bush, Elizabeth Fish (Matthew); seven grandchildren; his sister-in-law Raylene Bush; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his five sisters and brother, his son Charles Bush, and grandson Gerald Fish.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 W. 5600 S., Roy, UT. The family will meet with friends on Wednesday, April 16 from 6-8 pm and on Thursday, April 17 from 9:30-10:30 am at the mortuary.
