LaRene Carter Maisak
February 15, 1929 – April 6, 2025
Our dear mother, LaRene Carter Maisak, 96, passed away peacefully in her home on April 6, 2025. She was born February 15, 1929 in Garland, Utah, to James Lawrence and LaVona Garn Carter. Raised on the family farm, she learned the value of hard work, thriftiness and charity.
She attended Bear River High where she met her future husband. She married Roger Maisak July 29, 1946 at her parents home in Garland. They had 3 children. They were sealed for time and all eternity on April 28, 1964 in the Logan Temple. In 1958 the family moved to Roy Utah where mother lived for the rest of her life.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and provided compassionate service for many members and neighbors. Genealogy and Family were 2 of her greatest joys.
She is survived by her children, Suzanne Samples, Micheal (Denise) Maisak, and Janet (Kyle) Brown. Also by her 11 grandchildren, her 38 great-grandchildren and her 8 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, parents, siblings; Doris Maisak, Ralph Carter, Marian Anderson, Joanne Greer, brother in-law, Vern Maisak, sister in-law, Janet Carter, son in-law, Larry Samples and 3 great-grandchildren; Sarah Hart, Zachary Hart and Josef Von Niederhausern.
The family would like to thank the Applegate Hospice team for their loving care.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 10:30am at Myers Mortuary, 5865 S 1900 W Roy. Friends and family may visit prior to the services from 9am – 10am. Interment will follow at the Riverview Cemetery, 175 E 1200 S, Tremonton, Utah.
