Scott Wayne Moore

April 30, 1965 — September 26, 2024

It is with heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce the passing of Scott Wayne Moore, born April 30, 1965, to Wayne and Sandra Lemmons Moore in Ogden, Utah and passed away on September 26, 2024. Scott was a larger-than-life figure who embodied the spirit of adventure and the joy of family, with an infectious sense of humor that brightened even the darkest days. Scott spent his formative years growing up in Ogden and Ogden Valley.

His life was filled with an unquenchable zest for the “Great Outdoors,” whether casting a line into a serene fishing spot, traversing trails on his bike, or exploring the wilderness on 4-wheeling adventures, Scott was truly at home. His love for the outdoors was only rivaled by his love for his family, his grandkids, and the cherished shared moments like attending dances with his granddaughters or basketball games with his grandsons.

Scott was a beloved husband to Tina Moore, with whom he shared more than three decades of love, laughter, and mutual support since their marriage on May 20, 1989, and together, they created countless beautiful memories.

Scott was a hardworking man who spent his career as a supervisor and leadman at Georgia Pacific and PCA Box Manufacturing. His dedication and commitment to his work were evident in his achievements, which included an honorable service in the Army.

He worked very hard, but it was his sense of fun and love for pranks that made him unforgettable. Scott was a risk-taker, always up for trying something new, and always a good sport, no matter the outcome. His love for cooking was well known among his family and friends, as was his soft spot for ice cream, particularly mint chocolate chip and pistachio flavors.

He is survived by his wife Tina; his daughters Nakisha Moore and Treona (Joshua) Bingham; his grandchildren Kaysin, Brikon, Bristol, Bexley and 1 grandson on the way; and his sister Lisa (John) Bernard.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Moore, and his mother, Sandra Lemmons.

Scott’s memory will forever be cherished by the many lives he touched. His radiant spirit, enduring love for his family, and his passion for life will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
