David Lee Della Silva

David Lee Della Silva, 91, passed away on Saturday, September 14,2024. He was born on August 26, 1933, in Beverly Hills, California, the son of James Orson Della Silva and Muriel Patricia Eggleston Della Silva. His mother passed away when he was little, and he was raised by his dad and stepmom June Rentmeister.

David married Elizabeth Irene Pincombe on October 26, 1983, Tijuana, Mexico.

He taught for the Miller Ski School and was their top instructor. He considered Earl and Gladys Miller family. He then went to work for the Southern Pacific Railroad where he retired after 39 years as a conductor.

David is survived by his wife, Lizzie; children, Debra (Dennis) Hashin, David (Pat) Mock, Tara (Casey) Chartier, 10 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren; and his siblings Dianne Paskett, Barry (Sherry) Della Silva, Brent Della Silva, and Kevin (Cora) Della Silva. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings, James Hugh DellaSilva, Farrell Val Della Silva, Paul Scott Della Silva; and granddaughter Aubrey Chartier.

Private graveside service will be held at the Syracuse Cemetery on Monday the 30th of September at 11 A.M. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
