Helen Klieros Papageorge

Helen Klieros Papageorge passed away peacefully on August 31, 2024. She was born in Seattle on June 6, 1938, to Theodore and Mary Klieros. She graduated from Lincoln High School and worked in the family grocery store until she met and married Harry Papageorge. Helen moved to Farr West in 1964 to begin her life with Harry on Pappy’s Farm. They had three children, Ted, Anna and Pipena.

She was a member of the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox and served as the choir director for decades. She was an active member of the Daughters of Penelope and Philoptochos Society. One of her favorite church activities was making her Finikia cookies and decorating for Ogden Greek Food Festival. She loved her church community.

Helen’s greatest joy in life was her marriage and family. Her extended family also held a big place in her heart. Most of all, she loved to spoil her grandchildren Lacey, Lexie, Landon, Kyler, and Ellie.

She is survived by her children Ted Papageorge (Debbie), Anna Mathews (Robert), Pipena Klomp (Jason) and Cousin Ted Caloger. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry and sister Pipena Mercouriadis.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2024, from 6 – 8 PM at Lindquist Mortuary in Ogden.

The funeral will be Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 11 AM at the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church. Followed by interment at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park.
