Alica Price Palmer
Beloved Wife, Mom, Grandma, and Daughter Alica Price Palmer passed away on October 28, 2024, from complications following a sudden brain aneurysm. Born in Lansing, Michigan, to Darlyne and Edmund Scott Price, Alica was the eldest of four children. She was known for her love of reading, cooking, and her kind and compassionate heart. Despite the early loss of her father and brother, she continued to bring love and strength to her family.
Alica met her husband, Lee Palmer, during childhood, and their love blossomed in high school.
They married on June 7, 1975, and later were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. Together, they raised five children, instilling values of kindness and faith. Alica pursued her dream of teaching, earning a degree in education from Weber State University and dedicating her career to the Davis School District. Her empathy for her students defined her career and continued after retirement through her service mission with the BYU Pathway program and teaching Sunday School.
Family was at the heart of Alica’s life, and her 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild brought her endless joy. Known as a loving and attentive grandmother, she built cherished memories with each child. She also shared a close bond with her mother, Darlyne, as her caretaker and companion for the last 25 years.
Faith was central to Alica’s life, bringing her strength and comfort. In recent years, she and Lee enjoyed spending their time visiting family, taking road trips, and finding happiness together.
Alica is survived by her husband, Lee; her children Carly (Lance), Robert (Kelti), Daniel (Lacey), Sean (Danielle), and Kelsey (Indy); her grandchildren, Benjamin, Addison, Payton, Emme, Ella, Manhattan, Brigham, Everly, Starlee, Quinn, Thomas, Conrad, Ellis, and Baby Girl on the way; and her great-grandchild, Isaac; her mother, Darlyne; and siblings Marcia and Bill. She is preceded in death by her father, Scott; brother, Karl; and infant grandson.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.
