Terri Lee (Stewart-Yocom) Peterson
November 28, 1960 — October 5, 2024 (age 63)
Terri Lee arrived in this world on November 28, 1960, to Melvin Stewart and Kathleen Lawrence in Salt Lake City. A beautiful pink bundle of love. She was always an inquisitive, kind child. She lived with her grandparents early in her life. Her family moved to Ogden when she was in the 3rd grade. She attended Polk elementary, Mt. Ogden Jr. High, and Ogden High School. Terri spent her summers swimming and her winters skiing with her family. Following her graduation, she went on a wonderful trip to Europe. She was such a happy, beautiful daughter as she drove off to attend Utah State University. After college, Terri got a job at Hercules in Freeport Center. It was there she met her future husband, Jeff Peterson. Terri and Jeff were married on June 30,1989. She was a beautiful bride with many family and friends surrounding her. Terri was happiest when she had her two beautiful boys, Joshua Blade and Logan River. She was a very dedicated wife and mother. She owned and operated her own business. This gave her more time to be with her boys. The one thing Terri clung to were her beautiful sons. Terri and Jeff later divorced. It is difficult to put into words all the emotions our family is feeling with this shocking news. Josh and River’s beautiful mother left us unexpectedly on Saturday October 5th of a intracranial hemorrhage. She was so full of love and positivity through whatever life threw her way.
Terri loved the outdoors and enjoyed her garden. She loved camping and the mountains. She loved all sports. She especially loved the Utah Jazz and attended all Finals home games in 1997 &1998. She was also fascinated with the concept of astrology and she loved rocks. Much of her time was spent with her grandchildren, especially tending Jax and chasing him around the land. She will be incredibly missed and will always hold a very special place in our hearts. We know she will be with us and watching over her grandbabies. We will always cherish the memories she gave us. Terri had a close relationship with Jaren Galetka. Also she loved her dog Karma.
Terri was preceded in death by her father Melvin Stewart and all Grandparents. Terri is survived by her Sons, Josh (Shanaya) Peterson, River Peterson, Mother, Kathleen Craynor, Brothers, Todd (Terre) Yocom, Troy (Brenda) Yocom, Trevor (Monica) Yocom, and Sister, Hilary (Brent) Barnes. Along with 5 beautiful grandchildren, Haizlee, Jax, Rhea, Thayna, Seidon. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 11:00 am at Washington Heights Church, 1770 E 6200 S, South Ogden, Utah.
