Sonja Lee (Sunny) Parsons Finch

January 19, 1942 — October 11, 2024

Sonja Lee (Sunny) Parsons Finch passed away Friday October 11, 2024 in Ogden, Utah surrounded by her family. Sonja was born January 19, 1942 in Tampa, Florida the first child of David Mayfield Parsons and Zora Lee Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Marvin Finch and her first husband David Udell Hill.

Sonja graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education. She taught school for many years. She was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when she was 18 years old. She served in many callings and had a great interest in family history. She and her husband, Dennis, served a proselyting mission in Wendover, Nevada, and a family history mission at the church’s family history center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Sonja is survived by her children David Hill (Janice), Amy Marsh (Chuck), Jen Lundquist (Jared), Ted Finch (Jenni), Debbie Johnson (Mark), Shauna Hallmark (Jim), Joel Finch (Laura), and Sharlene Jolley (Wendall). She is also survived by two siblings Karen and David (Becky). Sonja has 24 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Sonja was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, a grandson and great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 W. 5600 S., Roy, Utah at 2 p.m. Friends may visit the family from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. prior to services. Interment, Hooper City Cemetery.
