Joseph Christian Hutchins
August 20, 1950 — November 18, 2024
Joseph Christian Hutchins, aged 74, was born on August 20, 1950, in Ogden, UT, and passed away on November 18, 2024. Joseph resided in Brigham City, UT at the time of his passing, having moved there 13 years prior, after being raised and living most of his life in Ogden. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother, known for his quiet disposition, strong mind, and stubbornness.
Joseph was a tree trimmer by trade, employed in the public utilities sector until his retirement. His passion, however, was bound in the great outdoors. He was an avid hunter, camper, and prospector, and he relished in mountain man activities and the art of taxidermy. These hobbies were more than pastimes to Joseph, they were a way of life, a testament to his love for nature and his adventurous spirit.
Joseph is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Vicki Linn Hutchins, his sons David Hutchins and Michael Hutchins (Alex), daughter Sara Smith (Jeff); 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and his sisters JoAnn Munson and Helen Glover. He was predeceased by his son, Joseph Hutchins, and his parents, Joseph Hutchins and Mable Christensen.
